Reporting an error
This is the most useful message you can send. Please include:
- Which tool you were using
- What you entered — the exact numbers or text
- What it produced, and what you expected instead
Arithmetic bugs get fixed quickly, and the page's "last reviewed" date is updated when they are.
Requesting a tool
If something you need is missing, say what the task is rather than what the tool should be called. Knowing that you are trying to work out how much paint to buy for a room with two windows is more useful than a request for a "paint calculator", because it tells us what the inputs need to be.
